Q: I am new to EverythingEquus.com. Where do I start?
A: The first task is to create and account on EverythingEquus.com. While it is necessary for sellers to create an account it is optional for buyers (See: Do I need to register in order to search EverythingEquus.com?) Create an account by clicking on Register in the top right hand corner of any page.

If you are a buyer or a seller there are a few important resources to help you get started. The first place to look is in this FAQ. There is a section for buyers and sellers with information specific to each group.

There are also resources available to help you get started posting ads or buying a horse. Check out the For Buyers and For Sellers links to the right of this page.

When in doubt, email us. Use the Contact Us form to submit your question and we will respond within 3 hours during business hours.

Q: I forgot my password. What should I do?
A: To retrieve your password click on the Login link at the top right of the page. Beneath the User Name and Password boxes there is an option to recover your password by clicking on Forgot Passowrd.

Q: I forgot my User Name. What should I do?
A: Please send us an email and provide us with your name, email address and phone number. We will send an email to the address in our database that you used when you registered with us. We may need to contact you to get additional information and to verify authenticity of the request. We do this for your protection.

Q: Do I need to register in order to search EverythingEquus.com?
A: No, you can search for horses, tack, services, etc. on EverythingEquus.com without registering. However, registered users can save searches and get email notifications when items matching their saved search have been added to EverythingEquus.com.

Q: What is Saved Search and how do I create one?
A: A saved search is a search that you create with all of your unique search criteria and then save so you can run it at a later time. To create a Saved Search, go to any of the Search Categories on the Search Classifieds page, fill out the options that are relevant to you and click EverythingEquus Search. The search results will be displayed. At the top of the page you have the following option: Save This Search As. Give the search a name and click Save. You also have the option to have email notifications sent to you when new items matching your search criteria are added to EverythingEquus.com.

To run your Saved Search go to the My Classifieds page and click Saved Searches. Click on the Saved Search name to run the search. You can also Edit and Delete your Saved Searches from this page. Remember, you must be logged in to take advantage of this feature.

Q: What is a Wish List and how do I create one?
A: A Wish List is a list of horses or other items that you would like to be able to return to quickly. When you are browsing the classified listings you will have the option to Add to Wish List. To do this click on an ad and then click the Add to Wish List option at the bottom of the ad. To remove from your Wish List click Remove from Wish List in the same location.

To view your Wish List go to My Classifieds and click on Wish List. There you will be able to see all the items you have added to your Wish List.

Sellers
Q: What happens to my ad when it expires?
A: When your ad expires it will not be displayed on the site or in search results. However, you will be able to manage your ad from the Expired Ads section of the My Classifieds page for up to 3 months after it expires. You will be able to renew your ad preserving all of the original information.

Q: What if the item I am selling sells before the ad expires?
A: You can update the status of the ad from the My Classifieds page. Look at Current Items sections to find your ad. When you have located your ad you can change the status to Sale Pending or Sold by clicking on the appropriate option. Horse ads also have an option to create a Bill of Sale.

Q: How do I renew my ad?
A: If your ad has expired you can renew your ad from the My Classifieds page. Browse to the Expired Ads section and locate your ad. When you have located your ad you renew by clicking on the Renew option next to your ad.

Q: Can I change or add pictures after the ad has been posted?
A: Yes. If you have posted a Photo or Featured ad you can add, remove or update photos. Browse to My Classifieds and locate your ad under the Current Items section. Next to your ad you will have an option to Edit Ad. Here you will be able to add, delete and update photos of your item.

A: Yes. You can edit any of your ads after they have been posted. This includes adding and removing pictures for NO extra charge. To edit your ad browse to My Classifieds and locate your ad under the Current Items section. You will see an option to Edit Ad.

A: Yes. EverythingEquus.com uses industry-leading fraud protection models, address verification and card verification checks, 128-bit SSL, and powerful encryption. We do not store any of your credit card information on our servers.
