Registration and Login
To post ads on HorseOnSale.com you will need to register. Click
here to begin the registration process.
When you register you will be asked to fill out some basic information about yourself. It is important that this information is accurate so buyers are able to contact you if they are interested in an item you have posted. Although we ask for a complete address, buyers will only see your Name, City, State, Zip code and phone number in any ad that you post. You also have the option to fill out information about your farm or stable and upload a photo or logo. When a buyer clicks "List all ads posted by this Member" they will see a page with your farm information, the picture or logo you uploaded and all of the items you have posted.
After registration you will be able to login using the User ID and Password that you created. Passwords are case sensitive while User IDs are not.
Posting Ads
Start posting an ad by clicking on
Post Ad in the top navigation bar. Select the type of ad you want to post and fill out the necessary information in each section. You will be able to upload up to 5 photos for each ad. You will also be able to preview the ad before checking out. Note: If you upload photos but opt to post a text ad the photos will not be visible to users searching the site. Your ad will only appear as a text ad. However, you may upgrade the ad at anytime. Once upgraded, the pictures will be displayed with your ad.
Mailing in Photos
If you do not have photos for your ad in a digital format you can send us print photo and we will include these in your ad. Post the ad as either Photo or Featured. Print out the
Mail In Order Form (HTML) found under Resources -> Forms and Policies. Be sure to fill out the Ad ID and include payment for scanning fees. Your ad will expire 1 year from the date the photos have been added to your ad.
Upgrading an Ad
When you upgrade an ad the original expiration date will remain the same. However, the cost to upgrade will be prorated for the number of days remaining before the ad expires.
